Crash Dynamics

Understanding how a vehicle and its occupants behave during a dynamic event can assist Child Passenger Technicians in their goal to improve safe travel for children of all ages. This training seeks to provide CPSTs and caregivers a basic understanding of crash dynamics as well as vehicle anatomy and safety features including airbag locations and factors leading to deployment. The session will also identify and discuss data supporting the use of child restraints and data supporting vehicle seating positions to reduce crash related injuries in children.

Child Care Transportation Safety - Train the Trainer

This training will teach child passenger safety technicians how to instruct Child Care Providers about the basics of Child Passenger Safety. After completing this training, CPSTs will be allowed to hold classes for child care providers to earn CEUs for your child care license.
