A short 4 hour training that takes a look at how we are doing as Inspection Stations here in Kansas, and what we can do to improve our service to our customers. Topics we will cover include:
• What is current “best practice”, which is always a good idea to review not only for new techs but for those techs who have been doing CPS for some time.
• What the public expects of us as CPS Technicians and what we should we doing to fulfill those expectations.
• Review the new CPS Checklist from KTSRO, and the new Checklist from Safe Kids.
• KTSRO/KDOT required forms
• Review what’s new with some of our newer car seats, thus getting 1 CEU hour of credit towards our recertification.
This is a great opportunity to get re-energized about what the Child Passenger Safety field is about and the great service we do to make children safer in vehicles.
This training is not mandatory for CPS techs but it is suggested, because of this we are offering it twice in a day, once in the morning and again in the afternoon, thus allowing almost everyone from an agency to attend. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Tim McCool from the Kansas Traffic Safety Resource Office at 800-416-2522 or tmccool@dccca.org.
